2019 – Biodesign Challenge Competition

Biodesign Challenge is an education program and competition that is shaping the first generation of biodesigners. They partner high school and university students with scientists, artists, and designers to envision, create, and critique transformational applications in biotech.

I participated in all the stages of the project, from the ideation to the lab experimentation. Furthermore, I developed the media content of the project. Our proposal was developed during DES 128 class in SQ 2019 in UC Davis.

2017 – eVolo Skyscraper Competition

eVolo Skyscraper Competition recognizes outstanding ideas that redefine skyscraper design by implementing novel technologies, materials, programs, aesthetics, and spatial organizations along with studies on globalization, flexibility, adaptability, and the digital revolution.

I was part of the research team that determined the necessary technologies to make our skyscraper self-sustainable. We also created an architectural program proposal.

2013 – inNATUR Architecture Competition

inNATUR Architecture Competition seeks innovative, cutting-edge, contemporary, proposals, committed to implementing architecture in a protected natural environment. Approaches should point to finding synergies between nature and the building itself.

I developed and designed this project not only as a creative proposal for the competition but also for tangible applications in my hometown in Chimbote, Peru. I then further developed this proposal for my architectural thesis.
